Tina Louise

Tina Tina Amanda AmandaMaureen was an athlete of natural talent who loved to play tough sports games. Her inherent ability to perform was an ideal complement to her passion for athletics. She won almost every Feis Award for Theater and Drama that her country had to offer. Maureen was a part of the Abbey Theater by age 14 which was where she continued to pursue her passion for the opera stage and classical theatre. Charles Laughton became captivated with her stunningly beautiful eyes when the screening test he attended. Laughton as well as his friend Erich Pommer changed Maureen FitzSimons's name changed her name to "Maureen O'Hara", a slightly shorter name, to appear on the marquee, before casting her as an actress in Jamaica Inn, (1939). With a contract signed to Laughton the next film of Maureen's was scheduled to be shot on location in America (The Hunchback and Notre Dame (1939)) in the studio of RKO Pictures. Maureen was able to purchase her contract with Laughton after the epic was a huge success. Maureen Laughton had been involved in two motion picture productions when she was 19.
